When I was asked if I would be willing to donate a painting to help raise money for this little boy, I asked what kind of painting would be best? A floral? Landscape? The response I got back was Angels...yes, perfect! I said, why hadn't I even thought of that?
I went up to my studio where all my paintings were stored and looked for my angel paintings. There were three left that I just didn't feel would suit such and important occasion. I prepped some paper, and began to paint.
Friday I kept busy by working on these paintings. That day I also helped a friend by doing a Reiki healing so I feel these paintings have also been infused with healing energy. Here are two of the angels I painted:
Watching over |
Always With Us |
I am wondering which of these angel paintings do you feel should I donate to the auction? I put a poll up to see what your opinion is, I appreciate your input. Leave a comment, too! I will keep you posted.
I will be framing one of these angels on Sunday, hopefully, to be ready for pickup.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
They are BOTH so beautiful - but there is something so glorious about Always with Us. That is the one I selected. :) Theresa
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely!!!! But I admit... "Watching Over" REALLY grabbed my attention!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI think Always with us. Good luck with the charity auction
they are both lovely and I sense they will be loved and a wonderful way to raise money.
ReplyDeleteThey are both really beautiful, either one will be fitting...but I'm partial to "Watching over". Off to vote in your poll.
ReplyDeleteBright blessings,
Kathy
Oh my goodness Girl! Your Angel paintings are so very beautiful! Wow, I'm in awe of your talent. Adding you to my sidebar K? Really an inspiration to me. So glad that you stopped by my blog so I could find you! Lovey
ReplyDeleteEither painting is lovely. I missed the framing date so I have no vote. My niece was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at 2 years old. A dreadful diagnosis. However she is now a happy, healthy 10 year old with very little residual effects from her long and arduous treatment. There is definitely hope for this sweet little boy. That is what must stay in the hearts of all who love him.
ReplyDeleteJo-Ann, I find it intriguing that you created these two angels at the same time and they are so opposite. Ying yang? I like them both! I love the golden warmth of Always but I also like the power and visual impact (from the light/dark contrast) I feel when I look at Watching Over.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Jo-Ann - these are so beautiful and so...angelic! I just love them. I am sure whichever one you selected will be loved and a healing.
